you weren't the only one to mail him  well you know what they say, if your not fast....

I've christened her with a quick jaunt over the forth road bridge! Its my first kona and I have to say I'm quite impressed with the way she rides. I spotted this on Wednesday and comitted to buy on Thursday, sorry to all who missed out. I was concerned that the driveside wasn't photographed but she has nothing to hide, full original spec XT with sugino cranks, apart from a rolls saddle and some titec ti bars. A couple of light scratches, but that's about it!

This is made of Columbus Max OR like the 96 and 97 Explosifs, so it has the fat bi-ovalised top and down tubes, combined with very slender seat stays to balance out the ride. It seems to be too stiff for some tastes, although I'm a softy and I find it fine. Feels fast, especially uphill.

It was the 93 and 94 Explosifs that were made of Tange Ultimate and had the ribbed Ultrastrong down tube. I have one of those as well, but I'm afraid I haven't quite got round to building it up yet. One day I'll tell you how they compare.

Thanks Anthony, you really are a font of knowledge, I appreciate it.

Heres a little pic of my first Kona experience!
