Kona Explosif Frame & P2s (Sold) XT/Deore Stuff REDUCED

Can't believe I'm selling this (this was my dream bike) but I've only ridden it 10 times in the 5 years since building it.

1995 Kona Explosif frame with matching Project 2's, control centre headset & shimano square taper bottom bracket. Seat collar not original as it was missing when I bought it. Lots of clips to the paintwork but all straight with no dings or dents. Builds into a 24lb rigid bike with rides superbly. Apparently it's a 19" (thought it wa s an 18" - 16" bb to centre of top tube, 19" bb to top of seat tube, top tube 22." centre to centre) £170 Posted SOLD

Suntour Chainset - 48/36/24 rings, outer & middle alloy & inner stainless steel all hardly used with minimal wear (probably not original) crank arms dull with some scuffs/scratches (could be polished up) all threads and tapers spot on.

Thanks konaman1 wasn't sure if 18" or 19" which is why I added measurements, do they measure to top of seat tube or to the virtual horizontal top tube on the seat tube - just curious.

Centre of bb to top of seat tube extension. The headtube on a 19" Kona is 130mm where as a 17 or 18" share a 110mm tube.

Nice frame, l have a '95 in 18". My last and only Kona now. Yours looks like a '95 in all but decals, were they replaced with '96 decals or is this some sort of '95/'96 crossover?

Sorry to see it go but I've just got a Kona Dew Deluxe 700c (so still have 1 kona) plus a modern full suss xc bike so this didn't get used plus my 'other half' said there were too many bikes in the garage!

Late in the 1995 model year, Explosifs had blue decals, I have seen a few others - I think Messiah on this website has one and this one was on eBay a few years ago. It sold for £95, complete with its ti bar etc, so the frame itself was practically a freebie!
