Kona Explosif 1999 Rebuild

I bought this new. Then sold it, then bought it back again. Just started a rebuild. King headset, XT drive train, Raceface Next bar, 519/Hope wheels, REBA Team, XTR front disk caliper. Still to cable up but she's looking fine. 18" frame. Need nice seatpost and XTR V brakes for the rear.

100mm. They originally had Z2 Bombers with 80mm, but I like them with these REBAs.

I guess a more modern fork is gonna ride & perform better. Looks smart too

Will be interesting to hear which you prefer in both looks & how it rides.

I’ve been riding a PII on my Kilauea for 14 years & have just replaced it with a suspension fork.

A bold move for a roadie
