The seat tube is a 28.6 with 0.6 gauge, so that leaves 27.4. Kona recommend a 27.0 post and that will fit easily, sometimes too easily. I have two Kilaueas and two Explosifs and they all take a 27.2 quite happily, so that's what I use.
I also have a 97 Lava Dome for which Kona also recommend a 27.0 post and that will not take a 27.2 and 27.0 is decently tight. How so? Well the 28.6 seat tube on the Lava Dome has a 0.7 gauge, leaving 27.2, that's how so. A 27.0 post is as tight in a Lava Dome as a 27.2 is in a Kilauea or Explosif.
So why do Kona recommend the same size of seatpost for frames of different gauge? To save twopence I should imagine. A 27.0 is ok, as others have said, and the more posts you order of the same size, the less the unit cost will be.
I would agree with Paul about a 26.8. Over-clamping puts an undue stress on the tube and can lead to a crack starting from the slot.
