I have just got a kona lava dome 97 frame. and I want to run v brakes on it ( sram 9.0 the exact ones I used on my lava dome I had in the 90's ). however there is no cable stop for the rear brake. I have looked at pictures on the web of 97 frames and from what I can see they have two cable stops on the top tube at the front and the rear, I have two at the front and one at the rear on the side for the front mech, on my frame. It doesn't look as though there was one before that's snapped off.
so I'm guessing maybe a dog collar would do the trick if anyone has one. I know you can get clamp on frame cable stops but I don't really like the look of them.. if no luck or a better solution comes along then that's the route I will have to take...
