Kona Cinder Cone 2003 Sizing

Hello!
Can anybody help me out with sizing for a 2003 cinder cone? I'm 5ft 9 but with a longish torso and was looking at a size 17 - online of course so I haven't been able to try it for size. Am not sure whether the 17 or 18 is classed as medium.

My brother-in-law is 5'8" and rides a 17" I am 5'10" and ride a 19" Kona frame of similar vintage. We both use 100mm stems. An 18" sounds about right for you, though sizing is a somewhat personal preference.
