Kona Caldera

Hi,
When I bought this Caldera it was badly resprayed and had a mish mash of parts.
I got it powdercoated, sprayed the forks myself, and upgraded some components. It's my first build so I learned a lot.
I'm waiting on some tan wall tyres.
I'm not looking for a stock look, but there's still something missing compared with some of the builds I see on here.
Can anybody make any suggestions on how I can improve the looks please? (It rides really well, which is the main thing of course )

Looks are such a personal thing. If it were mine i would try a silver stem bar combo and maybe remove the lower spacers to drop the front a bit, you could always fit a riser if you need the hand position back up.

Apart from that, like you have already said, its how it rides and that you are using it.

Looks are subjective, everyone will have their own opinion, but I do think a silver bar/stem to match the seat post might help, or a black seat post to match the bars/stem/rims.
The main thing is that it rides well though

Lovely these, it could do with correctly proportioned decals and a wheelset with smaller flanged hubs.

You're the second person to mention the decals - they are too small aren't they?-Both decals In all dimensions?

I got them from retrodecals. He didn't have the model on file so drew it up new.

yes they dont look quite right youll have to get someone to take measurements of thiers for you i do have measurements for my caldera ones actually but its a 98

The black band should sort of line up with each other, that's the main problem and makes it all look wrong. (so downtube is in the wrong place.)

But the size is then scaled to make it higher and longer.
And the green leads on thr logo decals should be blue to match the highlight.

You'll see it on other 99 decal sets.
