Kona Caldera Serial Number List - list updated 04/11/24

Darn, been working on maxwell for 6 months and I guess he found this thread!

Ha! Nice to see you elsewhere, "Craigster." Your only mistake was asking me to put a price on it . . . and I just couldn't put a price on it! I hit up Kona to see what their suggestions were for a fork replacement, and they mostly shrugged but also sent me a link to the other thread. You can see my "story" on that thread here.

It’s a fair shout bud, like I said it’s a unicorn - maybe one day!

Not sure this is one H8C33986, is green with black forks in need of paint but very staight 18" could you confirm, must have been painted... but just to check before destroying originality...

Thanks for sharing. You are right, with that SN, the cable routing and the dropouts, it's a 1998 model.

Is the colour special order or repainted.. thoughts, have a full xt 739 group to go on it...
Thought on colours if not correct please, and thx soo much fr confirming
Need decals and frame material stickers

Defo respray. No Caldera came in that colour, infact it's sadly impossible to say if it definitely was a Caldera.

Klaxon! Well, this is pretty neat. We have the 11th confirmed 1997 Caldera, and the 2nd second batch with the SN KO9610032.

I do wonder what KO stood for. Knock Off? Kick Out/Off? Kona Oddity? The welders initials?

Anyway, it's added and thanks again to @Nathan99 for sharing the details.
