Kona 1993 vs 1995 Velocity Stem.

I have a 1995 Lava Dome that I purchased a month ago in great shape. Unfortunately someone removed the original velocity stem for a shorter steeper version. To make the bike fit a smaller person I assume.

I am currently running a zoom stemboff a mid 90s Canadian Raleigh.

Today I purchased a 1993 Kona Hahanna for a donor for the stem. It appears that it is a smaller diameter however.

Were these made in two different sizes ? The Lava dome has a threadless adapter unit now.

Can these be made to work together ?

yep, in 1993 the Hahanna and Fire mountain had 1" headsets. All the other models in 1993, and all models from 1994 onward were 1.125".

Thank you very much.

Anyone in Canada need a Hahanna ? Haha

Thanks again

Where in canada? I have a zoom stem and a black velocity in the okanagan?

I am in Ontario.

I actually found a 1995 cinder cone last night and have taken the stem from it. It's in pretty good shape but is a 16" frame and too small for me.

The question is do I port over some of the parts to the kavadome and break up the full stx group ?

Wheels are mavic 237 vs 236, are these substantially better ? I would need to swap cassettes.

Rear derralieru is XT vs LX.
Front derailleur is LX vs STX
Brakes are ritchey logic, are these better than STX ? Can I use the STX levers ?

Unfortunately the seat post has been cut too and is likely too short.
