Koga Miyata Full Pro
Seat tube: 54 cm CTT; top tube: 54 cm CTC
I'm selling my Koga Miyata Full Pro in order to fund the purchase of something, er, more sensible (boring). It's a very good example of this increasingly hard-to-find model from the early 80s, designed as KM's top (pro-level) frame. Built in Tange Champion, which is very light and is (apparently) chromed underneath the paint - something someone at my LBS said was unlikely due to the extra weight it'd lend the frame, but it does seem to be from the few marks on the paint surface that there are. It gives a very light, responsive and fun ride. The frame is beautifully made, with cutout lugs, pantographed seat stays and cutout BB shell.
Shimano 600 groupset (I think this is from the 'arabesque' era - but let me know if I'm wrong)
Dura-ace headset and gear levers
SR stem
3TTT handlebars
Mavic MA2 rims laced to Shimano 105 hubs, with Wolber tanwall tyres with less than 200 miles on them
San Marco saddle
The overall condition of the bike is very good. I've had it for just over a year, and had the BB serviced and the wheels trued, but otherwise I've needed to do nothing. Everything works as it should. There are some marks to the paint, as you'd expect of a bike of this age, and the decals show signs of use too, as do the gum brake hoods (I've tried to show both on the photos - I think they make them look worse than they really are) but they don't detract from the overall impression of the bike, which is that of a head-turner!
I've tried to post a link to images but this is my first post so it won't let me. I'll try replying to this post with another: if not, PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you the link.
£375 collected.
Do ask if you have any questions or need more photos. I'm in Norwich. I'd prefer not to post.
