Has anyone ever shipped a full bike from the US? Any steer on shipping charges?

I have bought bikes from the US. I am not sure which shipping company I used but probably UPS or the US post. No idea what I paid but UPS has a pretty good shipping calculator. If there is a freight forwarder where you live that is probably cheaper. Takes a long time with a boat though.

Bike flights is the one to use and a quote includes all costs including import tax so you don't get stung when it lands, I bought my Klein, Salsa, Bonty and several parts frames from US
