Klein rankings

I have to admit apart from the pretty paint, I do not see Klein's as greater than any other bike. That maybe my ignorance in never having owned or ridden one. Due to that, my knowledge is next to nothing on them.

For myself, some others who may also not know too much about them and new members, is there anyone who could do the rankings i.e. from the very base model going upto what is considered the top of the pile.

Also only the Kleins upto 97 and not the Trekleins that followed. Thanks for any help.

Um.... Adroit Rigid ..... Attitude rigid...... 1997 Mantra (Red/Yellow M) tied with Adroit then Attitude with front suspension.... then Pulse. Then it's based off of paint rarity. MC1 trumps MC2 afaik.

The Aluminum tubing is beautiful and the welds are impeccable (it looks like a braze) as well as the paint quality. They go like a bat out of hell as well. I still have an Attitude (9:cool: which is a pre-trek pulse which I love, and I've also owned a Mantra and a Quantum Pro (97). The Quantum Pro I still kind of miss to be honest, but the Seven VII that replaced it is more than enough of a bandaid to heal that wound. I've moved on to high end Titanium from my Klein addiction.

Re:

Sorry I meant in line with most catalogues, entry level working up to the top including such things as their mountain cycle, top gun, rascal, pulse etc as well as the usual suspects.

Mountain cycle is the oldest. Top Gun turned into Rascal after paramount said no way. A Pulse is an attitude with a standard bottom bracket and headset.

I'm not really following your question at all... It's easy to track down where they fell in the original heap, current value kind of follows the same pattern as what they originally sold for.

From what year? Klein (pre Trek) sold Mountain-bikes over a period of 11 years.

If you are really interested, don't put up a thread and ask someone else to do the job for you. Do as the rest of us and find out yourself:

The only a-hole in here is you. Try and add some class to your virtues.

Re:

I did think of adding some class but soon realised it would go over your head.

When members wether old or new ask for help or advice, the community betters itself by appreciating we are a community of fellow hobbyists and bikers and as such we help each other out.

Your comment of don't put up a thread and ask someone else to do the job for you. Do as the rest of us and find out yourself:

Neither serves the community we have or the willingness to help others although now I recollect who you are in particular the abuse you gave to some individuals and this site concerning your desert Klein, I feel I was correct in the first place in calling you, Twat.

So roughly,

Pinnacle/rascal/attitude/adroit

Adept was a hybrid/early 29er

Quantum a racer

Manta a full sus

Pulse later outside the golden period

Top gun, pre attitude top of the line

Very innovative, high quality, yes lots of hype but not without substance

An interest in retro mtbs requires ownership, if you have the opportunity!

Have a look in the catologues in here, all year there if you have a specific query

Rascal and pinnacles come up for no more than other similar bikes and are cracking value in my opinion

Love mine
