Klein Pulse

Retro Newbie
Hey,

got a little Klein overhaul started a while ago and it seems to come to an end! As if projects ever end... :D

Started in the tub

Gave everything a good clean, the Hubs got some new bearings as the old ones where shot. But so far I am pretty happy.

Need some new shifters and some new decals (fork, stem) and I can take it for a ride :D

Very nice build... The pulse frames with internal cables are one of my favorite Kleins especially in black!!

Thanks!

I really like the "newer" Kleins with aheadset and internal cables. Not a really big fan of the MC1/2s.

Well, get ready to dislike your own Klein then...because this is one of the "older" Kleins. It's made before Trek completely took over the show, and since it's a 20th anniversary I would assume it's a 1995 model.

Just to make matters even "worse"....this Pulse frame is actually based on the MC2 Attitude. It's the exact same frame with the exception of the head tube where the Attitude had a larger head tube with MC2 and the coveted Uniklein fork.

...but don't worry. What you have there is a really nice original Klein with an exclusive paint job. The "newer" Kleins you seem to like so much, has a significantly worse build quality and were made without your precious internal cabling.

Still, great job cleaning it up. I'll bet your wife loved it when you used that really nice tub to clean the bike ;-)

With "newer" I meant the ones with the aheadset instead of the MC models but still pre Trek. The new Kleins that are sold as "Pro" or "comp", I am not really a Fan of those.

I guess you can only do a bike in a tub when you live alone
