Devout Dirtbag
Hi,

I'm considering swapping my GT Tempest (complete bike) for a 96/97 Klein Attitude comp (frame only) - which I'd build up (suspension forks out front).

I'm not familiar with Kleins so would really appreciate some info/advice on them if possible i.e. any gotchas/special/proprietary parts required etc...?

The Klein frame I believe is 20" - but in 'real terms' what does this mean? Would it be more like my 18" Kona than the Tempest (20")?

I'm about 5'10" with a 30" inside leg. Would the Klein be a good size for me - or is it too big?

Thank you,

Mike

I rode a 19'' pre Trek Klein. So a 20'' Trek Klein should be correct for you. But i know nothing about Trek

Hmm... Anybody know how the sizing thang works for the Trek-era Kleins?

Are these Trek-era Klein frames physically any different to the previous year? i.e. The 96/97 Attitude Comp I'm looking at is still aluminium isn't it?

Are there any weird and wonderful 'changeover' type parts that might prove expensive/hard to get?

still alloy. But the trek Kleins do look bigger to me. as my 19'' was good for 5feet 9 tall.
I think they made the BB and headsets non press fitt in the Trek. So easier to fit other makes?
