Hi Rob,

Got the tool set a month or so ago and have changed a few already, I will be putting up a thread at some point to show what's involved for anyone interested.

Also considering offering the service to anyone that can't find a competent local bike shop that have the correct tooling, I know that some will do the job but the alternative way! As an aircraft fitter I personally never attempt any job without the correct tools.

Cheers, Ash.

Hi Ash

Yes, I would be really interested in a thread like that. Look forward to you posting it up. Could it include how you extract the an old BB as well?

Also will deffo come to you for any future Klein BB requirements, couldn't agree more about doing a job with correct tools and I would never trust work like that to anyone other than a specialist.

Rob

Hi Rob,

The photos I have so far to show the BB replacement are only the removal ones so I am going to wait until I have some re-fit ones too before putting up.

The tool kit I bought had a couple of basic pieces missing, which I knew about, but I have had them made for me now so the kit is 100% complete as it should be. I could actually still do the job with a couple of tempory stand-in parts, was only a step washer and a spacer. In addition to this I am getting a number of tool kits made up by a machining company local to me and I have sourced the other parts within the kit from a couple of other suppliers. I will be putting these up for sale, I can't give a price at the moment as I am still waiting to finalise the costs.

Thanks Arie,

That just saved me a load of time!

My pics are of course extremely similar and I will still throw a thread up of my own at some point.
