Klein Adroit

Actually, I must say that shipping is HUGELY expensive from the USA to Europe.. I have first hand experience of this a few weeks ago when looking to ship a frame, forks and handlebars to Norway from the USA... I could not understand the reason's why it was so high...

Even shipping domestically has gone up loads, I tried to ship someone a wheel on Saturday via USPS and they wanted $34.00!!!

My $0.02 :)

me neither. you could have shipped that fuselage with the MC2 removed to fit into a 108" length+girth box to Norway for around $80 via USPS priority international.

Shipping price is about right

I just sent a 15" Merlin Ti frame, just the frame, to the UK with Fedex and it cost 350 US. I insured it for 1500 US. I asked why the price and was told that the box dimensions (thus how much a container can hold) pushed the price way up.

500 US seems a little steep, but is definitely ball park. Why are you whining, look at the pound right now? I would love a Pace, just can't drop $$$$$ on one with the way the exchange rate is.

why didn't you ship it with USPS? because of the insurance limit? otherwise there's no real difference between USPS and FedEx/UPS.

Am I right in saying that Post offices are a lot more common here in europe ( I mean UK and france ) , than in the States ?

At the beginning of this year I bought a Attitude in the US and the seller charged 300 dollar for shipping and package. I thought that was quite expensive but it came out at a reasonable 240 dollar (could keep the change for packaging quite good). Was shipped by UPS and had no customs charging taxex etc.... So me was happy.

And with the dollar at 1,57 what are we talking about...... If you want the bike it's worth it...

And about the postoffices I heared before. Here in Holland we can post packages on allmost every corner of the street.....

I was told the same, insurance being one, then the size further compounding the issue..

Right rip off if you ask me...
