Attitude frame and Judy = basically an Attitude with Adroit paintjob.
But 300 GBP wouldn't have been too bad.

Not sure that is what Archangel means.

The frame (a '96) was post-Trek, and therefore the Adroit of this year (not exclusively but generally) was simply an Attitude, but with Adroit paint and decals.

I don't think he's suggesting it's been altered or 'falsified' in any way.

The decals are in the correct place, and the head tube is the correct shape for a '96 Adroit.

Indeed, everything's allright so it's not a repaint or anything.

It's just so that when Trek bought Klein, one of the first changes they made was to end Adroit frame production. Instead the bikes got '95 surplus Attitude frames. The ones with rigid forks still got Stratas instead of Unikleins but if you got a suspension fork, then the bike was essentially an Attitude, especially when you were able to get all the same paintjobs for both models.
So basically in '96 it was a possibility to get "backstabbed" by Trek/Klein if you ordered an Adroit. You would pay for the Adroit but get an Attitude(disguised as an Adroit) instead.

I have a 1996 Adroit with correct 2" downtube, made in September 1995 and that's supposedly one of the last real Adroits made...

i spoke 2 the guy on the phone, made a deal, but then he started muckin around, said someone else had bought it, 12 hours later i get a text, its back up 4 sale, i had lost patience by then, who got it though, i'm guessin someone on here?

Agreed to buy it for £300. Said I'd pick up last night. Got there to be told it had been sold by his sister for £240 earlier that day :?

No doubt we'll all see it again soon enough - somebody will flip it. I want the frame
