Klein Adroit 1993 Gator

Re:

Wow, saw this at the begining but I've been busy doing other things. Wow; can't wait until Sunday to see it in the flesh.

Re:

Picked up the spacers this morning, very nice job, so swapped the crank over this evening. Originally I built it with a NOS XT outer ring but it was far too close to the frame for comfort, the arms had enough clearance though. So fortunately I took delivery of a Kooka 46g ring this week and fitted that instead which gave a little more clearance. The axle is in the correct position and the correct length but it just seems the crank goes on a mill or two more than you would want, I may go back to it after the weekend.

Anyway, Toplines are fitted, Chain suck device adjusted. I've taken some pics of the completed bike on the camera but only managed to get a couple resized and off the computer to put in the bike of the month bit of fun, I'll up load the rest next week sometime and hopefully won't loose too much detail, they always look clear and vibrant until they are resized and uploaded which is a little disappointing.

Well basically I made it, getting it ready for the weekend, the past midnights for the last couple of weeks every night has been worth it but looking forward to some lazy evenings again!

Re:

Did you happen to snap any pics of your Ringle teardown? I'm about to re-anodize a set and cannot get the pieces apart.

Also, LOVE this build!!! You have a great eye for detail. Keep'm coming.

Re:

All you need to do is clamp the rod in a bench vise, I use a pair of rubber jaws in the vice to avoid any damage, then wind off the the lever/handle, it's normal fitted with Loc-tite so needs abit of effort to release. WDPro on here has a really good Ringle refurb thread, check it out and thanks ;)

nice outfit!
any option that's very good, maybe I would put cranks grafton to close the set of components, but also top line looks good! great job!!

I do not install that chain ring xt vinevo? I'm looking for one ..

has to be the graftons, to match the other parts. i´m always a fan of just using a small amount of after market company´s.
so here its Klein, Ringle and Grafton, perfect! no more other companys. The pbc is to slim anyway.
just my 2 cents.
very good and classy build so far, the way i´d do it,

if i´d like kleins.
cheers kay

Re:

I'm still waiting to sort the crank out basically. I fitted the SRAM road middle ring just to fill the gap to get it complete for Warwick Icon-o-classic show. Ive been waiting for some weeks now for a crank to arrive which has a black middle ring which I'm hoping will be right for what I'm after.
The other concern I have is the rings are very close to the chain stay so I might be changing the 125 mm Ti axle out for a 130.
Once these issues are sorted I'll get some finished pics done and more importantly ride it, after all this effort I still haven't been able to ride it other than up and down the road!
