I like that. Personally I’d make it 1x and use the front mech cable mounts for the dropper. I reckon that would still work with a monarch rl and some rebas too for real retro mod. Lots of potential to play with over the years.

1x -No chance- I love cranking along in 44X11 infact on club rides where all the youngsters are using 1X on new bikes - they cant touch me in 44X11 - you should see their faces, thinking they have the best modern bikes!

Fair shout for rescuing this. I had the Caribbean reef colour one of these.
Bluey green purple paint!

Sold it and bought it's sister frame the Gary fisher sugar ,done that up and sold it during lockdown.

You have the potential of making a super light weight bike. Those zirconium Klein frames are crazy light. If you had time and funds, you could probably hit the sub 24 lb mark.

yes it was close to 23lb with a fixed seat post, but the extra weight of the dropper was worth it.

But my e-bike made it unemployed - so it had to go
