I'm about the same height as you, i think - 5' 8" - 172cm (ok, so maybe a little shorter) and i'm really curious about 650B...I think i'm going to have to hunt down a demo bike soon

on some 26ers you can fit 650 wheels (though it has to have disc brakes obviously)

I really like the 650b size, just like a smaller 29" and that is good
Infact i think 26" wheels just looks too small now
