Soā¦.. most of you will be familiar with this frame which @Splatter Paint kindly sold me last week!
Plan to is build it up with modern gear to make it different, and to make use of the pretty unique disc tab which Iāve been told Pip believed was factory installed by Kona despite it being a 97 frame (itās on the register under 97).
Iām probably going to change the decals to the yellow 97 ones too.
First job atm is trying to decide which forks to get, Iām looking at a few pairs of Fox around the 100-120mm range to get something that looks cool and doesnāt flex at all (Iām done with Rockshox SIDās flexing left, right and centre).
Any recommendations on forks and wheels will be greatfully recieved! Thinking Hope hubs and I want some really fancy looking rims (so I could be tempted by some Crossmax SLRās too).
Will keep posting back progress on here, but itās likely not going to be a quick build as Iām going to take my time sourcing the parts I want and I donāt have all the cash to throw at it atm.
