yeah, i recon that post would come out pretty easily with the right tools, doesnt look too far into the frame unless its like a 600mm post

I think you may be right Geoff, but I'm not sure. It's difficult when the pictures are as distorted as these and especially when the rear wheel isn't in the dropouts!

The poor quality posts used that year (unlike the O-Beam in the size 19 example shown below) were easily bent, and if then inserted further into the frame easily got stuck. It might not be that hard to get this one out though.

this one is practically next door to me, ive emailed him to ask if i can check it out. thinking of offering him some cash on the spot, what do you reckon a reasonable price would be?
obviously depends what the post looks like, but a good 70 or 80 quid in components by the looks and im after a pair of grey p2s anyway

I don't blame him. I would estimate its value at £250-300 if the post wasn't stuck, so whatever you think less than that to get the post out. These aren't seen frequently, but not that rare. I'm not sure if it's a size 19 or 20, but it certainly isn't an 18 as he is advertising. So if you or Biffta are interested, I would advise getting him to measure the seatpost c-t.
