kilauea 18" '94 frame ebay.co.uk

Had thought about this when I first saw it as a bit of a cheap project  Thought I might get it for about £70,how wrong was I! Never even bothered putting a bid on.

£156 seems perfectly reasonable to me. Excellent frame, high-class tubeset, previously used for the Explosif, used to cost £399 the frame. A very sensible purchase. Hmmm, now I wonder what the one below might be worth, in a nicer colour and better condition?

One thing's for sure, it doesn't look as though I'll be selling it to any of you skinflints. £70? For a timeless classic, both to ride and to look at? Should be worth more than a CK headset surely.

I actually plan to sell it as a complete bike, rigid, sort of original, but with Vs. I know it's not the best way to make money, but I'll be interested to see what it makes.

I'm just glad it's not an 18" so I don't have to find the money...

Edit: was referring to yours Anthony, not the ebay one.

yeah a timeless worthless classic seeing as some nob has overtightened the front mech clamp

In decent condition and with no dents I'd happily pay that sort of price ;) needing a respray and with a dent I wouldn't have gone more than about £80 :?

I sold this including the TB forks for £160 posted last July and it was in VERY good condition :)

I'm sorry, I don't use emoticons to indicate my tongue-in-cheek moments, but perhaps I should. No criticism was intended whatever.

There's a big difference in valuing frames between somebody who is very oriented towards repainting and somebody who would be content with repairing the paint. As Argos/Gil_M/post = £150, you could be spending £150 to make a frame worth £150, so its net value would be zero and £70 would be generous.
