Hell yeah, every retrobike needs a Flite. Usually I'd be all snobby and insist on an all black one but in this case I am going to go for a battered yellow one and see what it looks like with the forks...

This bike is most definitely a rider

Am I right in thinking that Litespeed made some of these?

I've always presumed that they were made by some shoddy outfit in the Far East. The rear brake bosses on mine are slightly too low (or high - I can't remember) and the brake blocks on my XT pivot V-brakes would not hit the rims correctly. I had to put DX brakes on as they have more vertical adjustment. Also, the bottle bosses on the seat tube are slightly wonky :?

Otherwise it's a great lightweight frame. I've had mine since the turn of the millenium and it's still going strong (bought it at a bike jumble). It gets regular use as my main commuting beastie


It used to be my main offroad geared bike but I'm running it as a SS now....
