Measured up the khs today, 26.54??? ...do I ram in a 26.6 or rattle about on a 26.4?
Probably a use him if that's relevant.

What year is it? My 93 is 26.8. Has the seat tube been squeezed a bit ton tight?

I'd get it reamed out to 26.6 or get a bit of wooden dowel, wrap a load emmery cloth round it, stick it down the set tube, attach the other end to an electric drill, whizz away. It'll clean the muck off the inside of your seat tube and you'll proabably find a greased 26.6 seat post will slide in effortlessly.

I'll try the emery route, I think it is a 92/93 but I can't be sure. I'll ask the previous carer.

It looks like this... but without the fz (I don't know what difference that makes)

I'm guessing a 93 then, made of tru temper OX.
I think I'll try a 26.6 shim after sanding the insides a bit.

That's mechagouki. He has the two KHS Montana I've passed on to him. Otherwise I'd let you know the post size. Give him a PM, although he's been hard to reach lately.
