Karma - Rock Shox Mag 20

Devout Dirtbag
Hi,

I have a pair of RS Mag 20 (I think) forks going spare, if anyone would like them in exchange for the postage costs.

Good points -
They seem to hold air well, and move smoothly through their travel
ATI shock boots!

Bad points -
The gold paint is very badly marbled, discoloured and flaking. The black coating has come off the brace and it now has a powdery residue. however, 30 seconds with the wire-wool and I've shined up a one-inch patch of leg ( where the paint had gone completely) to bright silver, and the brace seems to clean up nicely, if not quite so shiny. A nice polishing project if anyone fancies it.

The steerer is 1 1/4", quite short, but the crown is quite corroded and has a few places where the corrosion has eaten deep enough that the metal is falling away - I didn't trust it, so replaced the forks. :(

The legs unbolt, so if anyone has an evening spare, a decent crown, and a tube of Autosol, you should get a decent pair of forks.

Call it £5 postage, and I'll send them off next week. I also have the needle-ended shock pump, which was going to go on ebay - make me an offer and I can stick it in the box as well.

I'm waiting for a reply from jonrock at the moment. If he doesn't get back to me in a day or so, or doesn't want them, I'll go through everyone who's PMd me in order...

Have you got a picture anyway ?

A few pictures for those who requested.

One picture shows the patch I wire-woolled - it's come up very shiny in just a few seconds, so you should be able to get these looking quite 'bling'. They look tired, but they've held air for the few weeks I've had them, and bounce smoothly.

The brace should clean up fine, but as you can see, the crown is badly corroded.

jonrock still has first refusal, then I'll go down the list.

Strangely, the rest of the bike was in really good condition, it's just the forks that have suffered.

Nothing from Jonrock yet - I'll give him until lunchtime, then offer them around, as this afternoon is the only chance I'll get to the post office for a while...
