I recently lowballed an offer for a cindercone that appeared on ebay, not expecting to win it as the BIN already seemed more than reasonable.
Any way, it arrived and its not been all that straight forward.
The frame is a 94 /95 model the paint is fairly good, and it has some good period 3rd party decals applied. The reason I am Karma-ing it is the none drive side stay. There is some odd damage to the paint and the tube appears to have not been formed as would be normal to allow increased tyre clearance. I have stripped some of the paint back to inspect for cracks to the metal, and also tested acoustically to see if there was an obvious dead sound.
Additionally the the frame has STXRC special edition cranks, and a BB in place, the thread on the drive side is stripped, which is a shame as they are otherwise in good shape.
The tube seems alright, but I wouldn't want to sell it on without proper investigation. I intended it to be a ride for my girlfriend but she isn't keen on it.
As such it is free to who ever can collect it from London N1.
Pictures to follow.
