Just picked up this Univega Alpine 5.7 (bike packing base)

I don't like the wagging tail bags, but I do like carradice bags (often used front and rear, supported by some type of small rack). We have a few bits of Wizard Works stuff as a family, though all currently the smaller ones (snack bags, handlebar bags) and it's really well made. Same can be said about Restrap who also make in the UK.

This is quite amusing, but also useful.

I use my Alpina for bike packing too because the frame is really comfortable
I have a similar Alpina with AMP F1 forks , however when out riding one day I happened to look down at the front cantilevers when

braking , only to see a surprising amount of twisting of the fork legs . I fitted a brake booster to solve the problem . Considering

the loads that you are carrying and that you have fitted v-brakes , perhaps it would be worth a closer look in that area ?

Thanks for the info, I will observe it when riding next time.
So far the fork always felt solid.
