I was watching some Youtube videos on welding and came across this.

I've always used an old alu seatpost for knocking out headset cups, but this works way better. A great way to re-use an old seatpost.

Ive come across a number of those home made affairs in bike projects :? save a bit of money and it actually works well
Strange thing is these bike projects ive worked with get all chuffed in making one then add it to the rack alongside the complete park tools professional kit :shock:

Great idea. The softer alloy won't damage the headset cups. I've got quite a lot of old seatposts so it's down the shed tomorrow. :idea:

saw this video about a year back and thought it was ingenious! youtube is such a great tool for finding solutions to problems.
