Stripping these down to replace the crown and adjusters, and I find this;

Dowels instead of elastomer, is this right?

No it should have elastomers

Thanks gents! Elastomers and the springs? Anyone got a picture of a stripped down stack for reference, maybe with measurements?

No, just elastomers. Springs were in later versions.

Yep as above should just be elastomers.

Type 2/3 springs/elastomers were later.

Hmm... looks like I'll need some more of the plastic washers too then.

Am I right in thinking to strip the stanchions out of the lower legs I'll need to undo the hex bolts slightly, then tap them in sharply to release them?

Looks like someone upgraded to type 2 and then fitted dowels when the elastomers wore out. You'd be better off staying with the type 2 setup and I can supply elastomers to suit. I can supply type 1 but you will need the judy jax spacers which might be a nightmare to source

I've got some stripped down internals from a later type Judy XC, and some hydracoil C's - would any of that be any use?
Am I missing some sort of dampening unit?
How much for some new elastomers?
We need to talk Pace MXCD too, but I'll send you a PM on those.
