Here’s the first tranche of bits to come out of John’s ongoing garage and shed clear out: for reasons that I hope are fairly clear, I don’t think the normal pricing rules apply here. *ALL* the money raised will go to Cancer Research UK. So please make your offers generous.
Handlebars:
Orange Hot Rod (silver) - came off John (and Lesleigh) ‘s tandem. Lightly used, uncut, some wear to decals. With Oury grips, Zoom bar ends and a VERY short stem. £20
Bontrager Race (black) - a bit more evidence of use, uncut, some wear to decals. On their own. £15
Pedals
Pair of Suntour XC (Comp) with black and yellow Power Grips. Evidence of wear to cage tops (more so on the left pedal - John’s “putting down foot”) but smooth bearings. Ideal for a “riding” project. £30 (sold to slimjoe to be reunited with John's old Bontrager)
Seatpost QR
We can’t remember the make or model, but are sure it is something “boutique” £15 (sold to gtturbo)
ORIGINAL Mk1 Tioga Aheadset top cap.
Appears to be unused. When did you last see one? £5
Shimano Dura Ace adaptor for FD-7970.
NOS in box £10
Bula hats
One blue fleece, one orange with pink dinosaurs. Both worn by John back in the day. Both likely to have appeared in pictures in MBUK. £10 each
Shimano prototype XT V-brakes (M750?).
2 pairs. Used. Replacement pads. Only 1 of the 4 mounting bolts found so far. 1 pair date stamped WE (but QC stickered WF) so May 1998, the other date stamped WF so June 1998. All have “PROTO-TYPE” stickers. £40
Coming soon - 26” tyres. Some used, some still wrapped, all folding.
