Joe Waugh R653 £100

I heard back from the seller and was about to go and take a look when I realised the frame only has a braze-on for the RD, there is no FD one. Presumably this was made as a TT frame. I can't think how you could set this up for a FD without it looking ugly, using a band-on in the wrong position (or even if using STI type shifters, the cable stops would not line up if a one-sided band-on adapter was used- although I guess that’s a bit less ugly). Anyway as it’s also not that close to me I've had to pass on it, which is probably a good thing, really...

It would be good for anyone who lives somewhere flat, though!

I think you can get an adaptor that slots over braze on on one side, seen it on fleabay

Eh? It’s a 653 frame (that means 753 forks) with some nice components for £100: I don’t get the the a band on FD fear?

Edit: ah ok - no left hand down tube shifter boss. As you were.
