Joe Breeze 'Lightening' - Banbury

Thats very pretty.....lucky I spent all my bike allowance for a while.....this must have looked retro even when it first came out....
 
Yeah the paintwork’s a homage to the old Schwinns that were the basis of most of the original Klunkers.

Breezers are fab frames. My first proper MTB was a 92 Storm (still have it) along with a Jetstream and Lightning.
Of all the bikes I’ve ever ridden I think the Lightning is the best handling. Somehow it manages to feel both lively and laid-back; so stable and about as smooth as a rigid bike gets.
I slightly prefer the ‘D-fusion’ tubed models that followed, but the Logic forks on earlier versions like this are lovely - more supple than the later Spinners

these were £700+ frames IIRC BITD, so…
- extortionate for a Taiwanese frame, but a bargain (comparatively) for the ride quality
