Jockey Wheels for Rear Mech

Hi All

I have an old LX rear mech for my 94 Kona but the jockey wheels are shot. I do have some from a modern XT mech and was wondering if they would work in the old LX mech? I want to run the bike as an original 7 speed which makes me wonder if the jockey wheels from a new 9 speed mech would work?

If not, where can I find some jockey wheels for the old LX mech?

9 Speed Mechs have 11 teeth Jockeys, 8 and 7 Speed have 10 teeth, all are interchangebale and make no difference

Not quite true.
8-speed a narrower than 7-speed and tend not to work in the mechs too well when swapped over (they lock and do not rotate well or just wobble around ;) )

Look for Tacx jockey wheels a a good and pretty cheap alternative, they have spacers to fit in different types of mechs

T4000 / T4050 / T4025 I think are the ones you need.
About £8 for two e.g. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TACX-T4000-JOCKEY ... _784wt_911

Though what the Mxxx number on the back of your LX mech? (not that that matter with the Tacx Jockeys
