Jimbog’s 94 Serotta Colorado ATX - Onxy purple fade

I've just restomodded a T-Max and it rides wonderfully. The only caveat is that Serotta didn't really ever cared about the forks he used. The Columbus Max I had on mine was 900 grams. I installed an AMP instead. I noticed the same problem on my Serotta Tri Colorado. The frame is gorgeous and incredibly carefully designed, the fork is a plain Tange One. If I had to mount a rigid fork on my T Max, I'd choose a Tange superlight instead. Or a Ritchey Logic unit.
900g is not that bad, is it? The problem I have with lightweight steel forks is that I don´t like flex. The Ritchey Logic I have really makes for a noodly front end. And don´t get me started on the horrible brake shudder on triple butted P2´s ...

I’m still a bit undecided on forks. I have some Tange blades on it at the moment that I acquired NOS from bicyclist.cc. They look nice and felt pretty light.
May go down the mag21, Judy Xc or manitou 2 route but I like the simplicity of the rigid forks. The frame is very unfussy in design so I think less is more.

Ah if you finf Logics flexy I think you'd like The Max on the Serotta. I am a light rider and had never issurs with 700-gram forks. The only fork I have found exceedingly flexy was the titanium Sibex. A wet noodle.

I prefer rigid forks as well, but my shoulders and elbows don't, unfortunately. I love riding them but I always end up with a tendonitis of some sort
