Jimbog’s 95 DBR Axis TT Titanium build - Finished pics on page 5

Had a choice of Judy SL or Judy XC forks. Opted for the XC’s as they aren’t a lot heavier (about 150 grams). They have been recently rebuilt/repainted and the steerer is longer, allowing for a few headset spacers.

May change my mind and use the Judy SL’s as I want to have highest spec possible…..within reason.

Stems, spacers and Ti bar fitted this afternoon. Thomson stem is the wrong era but I’m looking out for a zero rise Ti stem when one comes up that isn’t a crazy long length.

Working out which wheels to use. Gen 1 Crossmax or M952 XTR with Mavic 517 ceramic. I of course have the rears to make up a pair. Any thoughts? I’m using m950/52 groupset so the XTR’s would match, but I like the all black/yellow combo of the crossmax. The spokes on the XTR’s look like they maybe Titanium looking at the finish on them. Tyres may change.

I was under the impression that the gen 1 Crossmax wheels came out in 96?

I couldn’t say for sure. But I thought 98. They were certainly on bikes in 98/99 MY catalogues but can’t remember seeing them much earlier.

First generation ones were 96-98, perfect for the build
