Ok, I have just got a set of these with the split shim - supposed to enable 25.4stem without the shim > 31.8 with the shim. My intention was very much to use them without the shim in a 25.4 Thomson Stem. Keep reading :facepalm:
I removed the shim, it's a splitter, underneath the shim it says 'do not use without the shim' - these were originally sold as a bar for both popular stem diameters. Do I use them as I intended, or throw more money at one those oversize stems?
