Quite surprised to see that nobody has mentioned this yet, 24 years ago today the legend, and my inspiration from back in the day, was killed whilst riding his Harley! RIP my friend and Ride Free!

I was genuinely stunned but this back then. . my subscription of mbuk was ripped from its cellophane to see a hero had died. Think i was 12, shortly before my 'tricked out' bike was nicked from outside a video shop, i cried. :cry:

Hunter Mountain 1993 Grundig downhill on Eurosport and JMC comes barreling down on the Hardisty RTS and shreds a tyre,you can clearly hear a spectator gasp "holy shit"when he sees his speed on a flat tyre.With immense skill JMC controls it and eventually comes to a stop,nonchalantly dismounts and waves at the crowd as he strolls down,that did it for me.Front suspension and risers went on and lycra was burned.

I wasnt online over the weekend, but I was sat on the clifftop above sandsend, where they filmed the jump bit of dirt, with my bikeninja legends tshirt on, a can of stella and my sworks replica of his dual slalom bike.

He was definitely remembered here!
