Hi , hope you've all had a very good Christmas, and Santa was good to you
For me , I think I consumed most of the norther regions. 'Beverages' over the new year.. Obviously 'It has to be done, even at 50'
Time to Ring in a new one and all that..
So following on from my Jamis/Serotta Encounter last fall, I decided to help a good lady RetroBike member on here and rescue 'Jamis' No.2 ,
Yes you guessed if you payed attention at the back their , , Kaz , had decided to lead it out to new pastures, even though it made a real nice stablemate next to her then 'Green Breezer'..Wonder where that is now
So , rather than waffle anymore, I'm hitting the trails , mud is calling, ,,
Phew! thought I'd offended people  thanks kaz,
Just to rub it in Its really is a quite nice bike to ride.
My other red Jamis I bought was my first 'Jamis' Bike I'd owned, and was blew away with the ride, being made by 'Serotta maybe helped , so when yours became available, it would have been rude not to at least give it a go eh!
Sure enough , I'm again surprised with the ride, loving it, I've covered well over a hundred miles now and its been faultless for what it was designed to do
Very underrated branding perhaps !
Fully built as in per pics, its coming in at 25.4lbs so not heavy imho
The bike feels balanced nicely, handles well, maybe a newer , modern more active, more tunable rear shock in the rear, if available, would make it better
Straight bars look better imho , but the risers just have the edge along with a short reach stem on handling , I've left the height on the judy steerer, hence the stack of headset spacers, Its about right for me, may cut it down at a later date.
Hope things are well with you , and once again thanks for selling me the frame,
