Devout Dirtbag
Morning people, this is my newly arrived 2009 NuNu. ( I mean Kula. )
It's got, er, brifters. That said it also has nice disk brakes, and isn't dropping to bits. And a nice cockpit generally, with a Tora that seems to work well. The front mech is fecked but I have several decent ones kicking about the place so that's ok.
It's surprisingly light too - I haven't weighed it yet but it's not hefty. All the bearings are nice and smooth and nothing is particularly manky.

I haven't found much about them on the internet, so I'd be interested to hear of people's opinions, especially of these shifters, which I might keep out of morbid curiosity.

The 'dual control' (as they call them) levers are a bit marmite, personally I love them. I've got a couple of sets of the XT versions and one XTR on bikes. They made a whole range from Deore cable versions up. They take a tiny bit of adapting to, which put many people off.

It's getting new cables and a new front mech today then a ride tomorrow. I'll give my feelings on the Dual Control levers then. I like the look of them, though, I must admit.

Those kona grips were lovely.

Toras... very basic. Try and get an old reba or something of you can. Think tora were basic spring and not that great when I had some
