its cull time at LGF towers!

I'd get rid of both Saracen's as they're ok but nothing special and can be replaced with a better model for little cost. If out of the others you've got two that do the same job I'd lose the one you like the least.

I'd defo keep the GT as you've had it from new and you'll never get it back. A replacement Zaskar in the future will never feel quite the same as 'yours'.

weeeeelll....

Its looking like the 'keepers' will be:

Zaskar ( I couldnt, not after nearly 19 years of ownership)

Overbury's

Pennine

Fay

There is a tie for 5th place going to either the 'thing' or the Quinn - it will be at dawn, Star Trek style

Keep:

GT (Old faithful)
Quinn (Rare and really very nice)
Overbury's ()
87 Pennine 753 (Very nice road bike and for reasons you have described)
74 Norman Fay

Thats down from 9 to 5, a big enough jump I think.

I am thinking of doing the same at the moment...... :?

Keep the steel stuff, dump the 'wrong' metal stuff.

And if you have any of that plastic tat? chop it in two and leave it for the bin men.

"NEXT"

al. ;)

I don't think you should get rid of the Green Machine ... unless it's at a time I have some spare funds.

If it wanted a holiday where there is more space I have a roomy garage :) I'm sure the Zaskar would even be willing to give up one of the space on the wall to it.

At least space issues is an excuse to try not to purchase new bikes, I have to rely on financial issues as a disincentive.

Surely all you'll get in this thread is a wide variety of other peoples' opinons. I realise that you may find some of them worthy of consideration, but were it my collection, I think I'd want to make my own mind up.

That's not to say that the disussion isn't interesting, just that were you to get rid of something and later regret it, would sway of opinion in this thread be any consolation?

My interest, here, is what bikes you are going to keep / let go, and why. Sometimes it makes my teeth itch to think that people let committee influence their personal choices.
