Italvega (?) Identification

Retro Newbie
Hey there,

Having followed a lot of threads as a reader only, I now need the help of you experts:

I recently got this frame, it was given to me as a Colnago, at least it had Colnago-decals on it.
I'm in the process of repainting the frame, since it has a lot of dents and cracks.

Can someone maybe identify the frame/ year of production by looking at the details?
Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the fork, the only thing that stands out, that it says "Columbus" on the end of the fork.

I´d appreciate any possible info about this bike.

Kind regards
Max

Hi Max,
This frame looks very much like an Italian made Torpado with the triangular cut outs in lugs and the slotted bottom bracket shell,
kind regards kermisking.

Thx guys, that looks promising, now Im gonna do some research to find the model/ year!

Edit: I dont find any Torpado model though, that has the cablerouting above the BB...

Anybody has seen this feature yet?

It looks suspiciously like an Italvega. They were designed and built in the Torpado factory during the 1970s for an American company.
