....to build a bike (sometimes). Just finished up this '86 Bianchi Sport for my nephew, and wanted to thank member Lickskillet (Logan) for donating the front and rear mechs and the shifters, they worked out great and the bike went to a good home.

Good eye, that is 'abnormal' 6mm housing.

I think it was more the huge loops over the handlebars that were being referred to. Could trap animals and small children in them.
Each to their own preference but they don't look good to me.

One can always shorten a housing if they prove to be too long in use, lengthening them on the other hand is a might trickier
