This was the bike that brought me here in the first place, my 1998 Orange E4.

She looked like this back then, used and loved but just a little bit 'wrong'.

Anyway that was then and this is now and she has been transformed into a bike that I think is worthy of a new introduction, so here she is......

Look's great  , are those stickers right for the bike ?, just bought stickers of E-bay for my E3, they were listed for a Five or Patriot or something, look just like yours, thought they were a bit big at first but they look Superb on the E4 ;) .

Also can you still get those tyres new ?

Cheers ;)

No the "Orange" logos are not the original decals they are off a later bike (not sure which ones). Orange had none of the original style left, only the "E4" so we went through the different styles on their website while I was on the phone and I chose these. They're a nicer design than the proper ones anyway I think.

The tyres are IRC Mythos and are discontinued now as far as I know.

Good work, she's looking fresh!

Cheers dude. :D

I'm pleased with the way she's turned out, better than I expected really and apart from the saddle, period correct(ish) to boot even if there is a modern look to the build.
I really wasn't sure the red would work with the orange but I think it looks better than it did on the Clockwork and the wheels suit her fine.

Shame she just misses the 1997 cut off, but I reckon she's retro.

I agree, she's certainly got the whole retro flavour... I love to get my leg over a beauty like that. Very nice, and a great colour

btw, how do you find that saddle comfort wise? it seems to have got good reviews

Thanks guys, I am rather chuffed with the results :D

Aeronaut: The Spoon saddle deserves all the praise it gets in the reviews, it'll become a classic I'm sure, maybe not as iconic as a flite but there is one going on my next project too.

That is a very nice build:D

Only fault I can find is the bar ends...just not a fan of them on any bike!

I've tried living without bar ends and just can't do it, I've used them for too long. (At least they're not on risers though! :D )
