Not mine but apparently not a fake.Did you speak to Chris?
I'd be interested to hear what they said about it.
Could it be a fake?

I was thinking quality control regarding facing, reaming/sizing and alignment. You've only got to look at an old "hand built classic artisan" frame and a modern mass produced alloy frame to see the improvement. Just my opinion and possibly not a popular one, I stand by it though. Not to say there aren't any poor modern frames.I was just wondering whether because frame prep is so much better, we've stopped bothering to check properly. We used to see cracked head tubes due to:
Poor or incorrect headset fitting,
Riding with loose headset,
Aluminium fatigue
Now we see frames written off due to a chip in the paint or a stone strike off the front wheel
Does that make them better, or are we seeing more overspecification
I bet you paid good money for an out of alignment frame too.I was riding with a friend from another, fancier Bristol bike shop a few years ago and he was literally laughing at how wonky my 1992 custom longstaff racer was.
I dont think it was worse to ride than his cervelo though
Misalignment or massive headachesLet's not forget though that the health benefits outweigh the disadvantages 10:1
It's just the latter come in big lumps.
