Hi,

I just bought this Kona Kahuna 2022... But I'm not sure if it's fake. There's no serial number engraved nowhere on the frame, just stickers.

Can someone confirm it's legit?

Thanks in advance.

A serial number can be any format the manufacturer likes, personally I think a format like that would be great, as it makes a lot of sense down the line…… If you’re genuinely not sure, just call Kona, it’s a current bike so there shouldn’t be any ambiguity and they can prob register the warranty for you at the same time negating any doubt…….

Everything there looks legit to me. 2104 is the month and year which would tally with 22 sale. from what I recall, but happy to be wrong.

If it is a fake, it's a damn good one and it looks well built with decent welds and materials used.

ride it, stop worrying about and just enjoy.

Thanks again for the quick answer.
Yeah, will probably do so. Don't know why i have doubts. Maybe because guys at the store first put some cheap chinese seat on it, had them replace it with the one on the sheet, front disc-brake wasn't centered, even the front hub is making some noise, like grinding stones, and it feels rough under fingers. Probably not a good start with the store where i bought it. Probably just paranoid (psyhotic) :)

Thanks mate. Yes... Everything looks good. Like I said, probably paranoid. :)

I've seen trek bikes with stickers as serials. Weird but probably cheaper than stamping. I'd get the hub sorted, will only get worse and shouldn't be like that from new, the shop should fix for free.
