Is this an Overbury MTB?

At a bit of a loss as to what this is.

Even my LBS has failed (much to there anyounce) to put a name to it and they are always bang on with this sort of thing.

So I'm leaning towards an Overbury but orginaly thought it could be a Pashley

The bike has Reynolds 531 tubing, interesting seat stay design, very wide front forks, Sturmey Archer hub brakes and was I belive fitted with Shimano Deore XT components although the crank and rear /front mech have gone missing.

So any ideas?

What you have is very nice BTW, not sure if its Overbury's but there where a few decent hub braked MTBs around in the mid 80's

the headset and shifters point towards 86/7 if they were there from new. the colour is great!

Thought it looked a bit too 'factory' but not seen a join there before (more likely not paying enough attention to notice :roll: )

Just take a look at some old BSA or similar frames.

the cable routing at the BB and the smaller fillets not as well finished make me want to say 1986-7 Tom Bromwich (coventry). Good frames quite rare i dont think any were made after 89, he mostly built road bikes i think.

(My friend Dave Adkins had one back in that day. he broke it in the and at the back end of aston hill on a trail the locals call the bromwich braker).

Where's the frame number on the bb? if its between the chain stays it could be a Overbury but not like on i have ever seen.
