Is this a real Pat Hanlon?

That's pretty much spot on! You have a good eye, Sir.
Any idea whether Vic Edwards did any work for Pat?
Well you could start with this forum https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/1970-pat-hanlon-700c-wheels-and-ak-brakes-now-with-pics.396237/

Also you have plenty of other sources connected the two, like https://www.pedalpedlar.co.uk/products/u-f-r13v-53-5cm-pat-hanlon-vintage-road-bike-frame or https://www.flickr.com/photos/8379107@N03/albums/72157667828305596/

More also here https://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/classic_builders/pat-hanlon-cycles/

So yes, Vic is most likely builder of you bike, the details (seat cluster etc) are some of his signature ones

Thanks so much for the replies. I knew I'd come to the right place!

Thanks for the info. No, sadly, I don't have the forks. I've got a nice chrome pair I'm planning on using instead.
And that's a beautiful bike - you've clearly put a lot of work into her.

Good to know it's the right age. That, coupled with the serial no format is reassuring.

Wow, that's quite an endorsement! By spooky coincidence, my only other vintage bike is also a Bob Jackson Merlin!

Thanks again all. I'll be back to let you know how it turns out.
As promised, here she is in all her shiny, single speed glory. Absolutely fantastic to ride. I took her on a quick trip to her birthplace in Tottenham and was stopped by an old boy who remembered Pat's workshop and was glad to see her bikes are still treasured and looked after.
