Is This a Pepperoni?

Bought a fork that looks an awful lot like a 1" threaded pepp, but has no markings as such.

Case for it: the welds are smooth, paint is sparkly, and the legs are aluminum

Case against it: No stickers stamps or marking, steerer is steel and painted

Any ideas?

It looks like one to me.

Many Pepperoni forks had steel steerers: there was even a recall at one point in which aluminium steerers were replaced with steel.

Perhaps your fork's been resprayed. That would account for the lack of decals, and the overspray on the steerer.

Same over here. It´s the typical shape i´ve cleaned so often with cloth and paper towels over the years when i came home from a ride ;)

Tis a Pepperoni.

I have a 1" pair with steel steerer and original paint, decals etc.. Looks same as yours

I'm pretty sure (but ready to be corrected) that all the 1in ones were steel steerers. Alu steerers came in briefly when they went to 1.25in for, er, 1992 or 3, and then went away again when they were all recalled ;)

yes, it's the first generation pepperoni, with 1" steerer(only in steel) and without the force40 hanger. Perhaps 1990 (for the SM2000 and omega) or 1991 for the SM omega, SM2000, SM1000 and SM800 beast of the east.

(NB The EST pepperoni forks were with th 1" steerer but with a force 40 ;) )
