Is this a Carlton? - please help identify

Hi, just a thought, I believe Gazelle in Holland built Carlton's and Raleigh's in the boom time of the 70's. May be helpful, may not. Terry

very interesting, would at least go someway to explain the similarities with Carlton in appearance.

Hi and sorry, it took a bit longer, hadn't the time... but I'm impressed about the knowledge here.
Today I got the forks and bottom bracket out, ruined the Solida-crankset because it was hardly restive. An Arabesque for replacement comes next week. :)
Anyway, I looked over everywhere again with a little lamp to discover eventually traces of numbers, but there's really nothing, not on the forks either.
With a look inside I would say there should never been holes in the headbadge also.

The only thing why I'm nearly sure (as I can be without a clue :D) that it has to be a Carlton is the frame in this Thread.
So, maybe mine was built in the after hours? Or after the Carlton-closing with leftover parts? Or in Holland at Gazelle? Or customized a little bit at a bike shop? Or...?
And another important question: am I allowed to order the same decals at ebay, like the bike ones in the link above? ^^

I'm not sure you could draw the conclusion from the carlton thread, see forks for example, but does it really matter, it's how it rides and that you enjoy it, I have both a 531 road and an aluminium mtb frame that I can't identify but both built up and ridden, neither have decals on as not sure.

Ultimately it's your bike..........
